I have been taking photographs now for over 20 years. I started into photography hoping to take photos that I could paint or draw, but quickly found a love of the mechanics of photography. My interest in photography was further strengthened when my wife bought me my first serious macro lens 9 years ago as a gift for finishing my college degrees. That was when I started taking photos of flowers. As a software quality assurance engineer by day, photography is my creative outlet. I have also enjoyed critiquing photographs and writing about photography. Photography is an excellent pass time for me as the father of three boys and a girl in ages from 14 to 3. They can be outside with me as I photograph, and I am able to take a few minutes here and there when we are busy. I am lucky to be married to my best friend who supports and loves me. Our family is very active in our church, and my wife has the privilege of working as an attorney for families who are adopting. We feel very blessed.
